Surakarta, February 7, 2025 – Office of Collaboration and International Affairs in collaboration with ODS Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), participated in the Campus Expo 2025 held on February 6-7, 2025, at SMKN 1 Pemalang. This two-day event was attended by more than 19 universities from various regions across Indonesia, providing students with the opportunity to explore various educational options and career paths.
In addition to the Campus Expo, the event also hosted a Job Fair, which featured 13 leading companies offering career opportunities for graduating students. This combination of academic and career-focused activities provided participants with a comprehensive experience, helping them not only to explore higher education options but also to plan their professional futures.
UMS, as one of the participating institutions, took this opportunity to promote its international programs, with a special focus on the International Class. UMS offers a unique opportunity for students to participate in double degree programs with prestigious universities abroad. The UMS booth attracted many enthusiastic visitors who were eager to learn more about the programs offered, international opportunities, and campus life at UMS.
The UMS delegation at the event was led by Wijianto, M.Eng.Sc., Head of the International Program, along with staff members Alex Kurniawan, S.Pd. and Dwi Kristiawan, S.Sos. The UMS team actively engaged with students, answering their questions and providing detailed information about the various programs available at UMS. To create a fun and interactive atmosphere, the UMS booth also hosted several exciting games, allowing participants to connect with the university in a memorable and enjoyable way.
The enthusiasm and interest from students—both from SMKN 1 Pemalang and other surrounding schools—was truly encouraging. Many students expressed a strong interest in learning more about the international class programs at UMS and showed excitement about the opportunity to pursue a double degree abroad.
UMS hopes that its participation in this Campus Expo will inspire students to explore global education opportunities and deepen their understanding of the international academic landscape. The event also gave UMS the chance to reaffirm its commitment to providing world-class education, fostering international collaboration, and creating opportunities for students to expand their horizons beyond Indonesia.
