Surakarta, December 17-18, 2024 — Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), through the Office of Collaboration and International Affairs, in collaboration with ODS UMS, participated in the prestigious Solo Education Expo 2024, held on December 17-18 at the Branch Office of the Education Department, Region VII of Central Java. This event successfully attracted over 60 renowned universities from across Indonesia, providing a valuable opportunity for students, educators, and parents to explore various higher education options available in the country.
The Solo Education Expo 2024 was not only a platform to learn about different educational institutions but also an opportunity to build connections between leading universities and prospective students from all over Indonesia. With over 60 universities participating, the event was a significant opportunity for UMS to introduce its outstanding programs, especially in the international field.
During the event, UMS’s Office of Collaboration and International Affairs took the opportunity to showcase the university’s various international programs, which are designed to offer global opportunities for students. These programs aim to provide world-class educational experiences that equip students with skills and knowledge to compete globally. High school students, in particular, showed tremendous enthusiasm, asking numerous questions about the pathways and processes for studying abroad. They were eager to learn more about the opportunities available to broaden their horizons and gain international exposure.
Not only students, but many teachers from various schools in the Central Java region also visited UMS’s booth, showing significant interest in the international programs offered by the university. Many of them were keen to learn more about the benefits these programs could provide to their students. This highlights the growing recognition among educators of the importance of international education in preparing the younger generation to face global challenges.
