UMS Showcases Educational Excellence at THE Campus Live SE Asia 2024

The THE Campus Live SE Asia 2024, an esteemed event organized by Times Higher Education (THE), took place from November 26 to 27, 2024, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia. The summit gathered leaders from higher education, industry experts, and policymakers to discuss pressing issues in education and explore key themes such as institutional transformation, workforce empowerment, and innovative teaching practices.

Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) was honored to be a part of this prestigious event, receiving invitations for two of its distinguished speakers: Denny Vitasari, S.T., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., and Prof. Ihwan Susila, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. Both experts shared their valuable insights on the future of education, addressing topics that align with the evolving needs of higher education institutions in Southeast Asia.

In addition to the speaking engagements, UMS actively participated in the event by hosting a booth alongside ten other universities under the Majelis Pendidikan Tinggi, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan PP Muhammadiyah (Higher Education, Research, and Development Council of Muhammadiyah). The UMS booth highlighted the university’s ongoing contributions to education and research, underscoring its commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration in the region.

This collaborative representation at THE Campus Live SE Asia 2024 reinforces UMS’s dedication to strengthening networks within the higher education sector and advancing the academic landscape of Southeast Asia.
