The students from the Management Department of Millat Umidi University enthusiastically participated in a digital entrepreneurship class led by UMS Management lecturer Dr. Kussudyarsana, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., affectionately known as Pak Uud. During the session, Pak Uud emphasized the importance of developing entrepreneurship as an alternative career path so that students do not solely depend on being employees.

“Entrepreneurship must be developed because it can create new businesses, open job opportunities, and contribute to the community, society, and country,” he said.

Beyond listening to the material, the Uzbekistan students actively engaged in discussions and shared experiences with Pak Uud and Indonesian students. This program not only facilitated knowledge transfer but also fostered cultural interaction, which is considered very important.

“In a global context, we will interact with people from various countries. Through this program, UMS students can understand and appreciate cultural differences,” Pak Uud added.

During the learning session, students were divided into five small groups, each consisting of one to two international students. They discussed identifying problems in their surrounding environment and developed ideas for new entrepreneurial ventures.

One of the Uzbekistan students, Abdulaziz Rikhsiboev, said he gained many new experiences from the session. He found the discussions with Indonesian students unique because everyone was encouraged to openly share their ideas.

Abdulaziz also praised the UMS students’ detailed situational analysis skills. After the group discussions, Abdulaziz had the opportunity to present his group’s findings in front of the class.

“Pak Uud did an excellent job delivering the material, and the class was very interactive. The students were also able to analyze problems comprehensively,” he proudly stated.

This activity is an important part of UMS’s inbound program series, aimed at strengthening academic and cultural collaboration between Indonesian and international students, as well as building an inclusive and sustainable global network.
