In a significant step towards fostering innovation and enhancing human resource competency, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) embarked on a collaborative visit to the Surakarta City Government on Monday, July 1, 2024. This meeting focused on establishing a Cooperation Agreement between UPTD Solo Technopark Science and Technology Area and UMS.
The discussions highlighted several key areas of collaboration aimed at bolstering research, training, and practical experience for students. The primary focus areas include:
Research Collaboration, Training Programs, Student Internship and Independent Study Programs within the scope of MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka), and Development of Business Incubators.
The collaboration aims to create a robust framework for nurturing talent and driving technological advancements. Both parties expressed their commitment to leveraging their respective strengths to achieve mutual goals.
Andy Dwi Bayu Bawono, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Head of the Office of Collaboration and International Affairs, emphasized the importance of such partnerships in creating a dynamic and skilled workforce ready to tackle future challenges. “This agreement marks a significant milestone in our efforts to provide our students with the best opportunities for learning and growth. By working closely with UPTD Solo Technopark, we aim to create a vibrant ecosystem for innovation and development,” he stated.
Surakarta City Government also reiterated its dedication to supporting educational institutions and fostering an environment conducive to research and innovation. This partnership is expected to pave the way for new initiatives and projects that will benefit the academic community and the broader society for innovation and excellence.
