UMS Hosts the SEA Teacher Program Batch 10

Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) is proud to welcome 4 students and 1 lecturer from the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) who will undergo a teaching internship program in the Southeast Asia Teacher Project (SEA Teacher) Batch 10. 🙌

The participants from the University of Northern Philippines consist of one faculty member, Dr. Mark Angelo, and five students:
– Xyrelle Bumatay Layugan
– Pauline Kyra Quiocho Ayson
– Mark Angelo Caban Reotutar
– Princess Joy Dela Cruz Viloria
– Dana Julia Ablog

The SEA Teacher Program is part of a collaboration with the Southeast Asia Ministry of Education Organization (SEAMEO), providing an opportunity for aspiring teachers to gain cross-cultural teaching experience and deepen their understanding of different cultures.

The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at UMS, Prof. Dr. Harun Joko Prayitno, M.Hum., expressed his appreciation for the participation of UNP students in this program, saying, “We are very excited to welcome the SEA Teacher participants from the University of Northern Philippines. This program is an important step in strengthening the collaboration between UMS and our partner universities in Southeast Asia, as well as offering global insights to both the participants and our partner schools.” 🌱

Through the SEA Teacher Batch 10 program, UMS continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the internationalization of education and preparing future educators who are not only competent in their fields but also have a broad global perspective.
