Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) is committed to enhancing its international reputation! Recently, UMS sent a team of 14 distinguished faculty members to participate in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Higher Ed Summit Asia Pacific 2024, hosted at the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), Macau SAR, China, from November 5-7, 2024.

At the event, two UMS delegation presented live: Dr. Nisa Rachmah Nur Anganthi, M.Si., and Sri Indra Kurnia, S.K.M., MPH., while three others presented virtually: Ir. Muhammad Mujiburohman, Ph.D., Afief El Ashafahani, SE., M.Sc., and Ns. Wita Oktaviana, M.Kep., Sp.,Kep.,J.

Nine other lecturers participated as delegates, exploring partnership opportunities with global institutions, including the Deans of Engineering, Ir. Rois Fatoni, ST., M.Sc., Ph.D; FKI, Nurgiatna, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D; and Health Sciences, Dr. Umi Budi Rahayu, SSTFT.Sc, alongside other distinguished members.

The presence of UMS Vice Rector III, Prof. Ihwan Susila, M.Si., Ph.D., further strengthened UMS’s commitment to international collaboration through visiting lectures, student mobility, and joint research programs. Prof. Ihwan emphasized that this summit provides a unique opportunity to engage with scholars from top universities across the Asia Pacific, expanding UMS’s global network.
