Surakarta, December 10, 2024 — Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) took a significant step in strengthening its international collaboration with a visit to Uzbekistan, specifically to Tashkent State University of Law. The visit was meaningful and involved several activities that had a major impact on increasing UMS’s exposure on the international stage.

One of the main agendas of this visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UMS and Tashkent State University of Law, conducted with Rector Prof. Islambek Rustambekov. This MoU marks the beginning of academic and research partnerships between the two universities, opening the door to further collaboration in various fields.

As part of the academic activities, UMS organized a series of guest lectures featuring experts from various fields, including:

Wardah Yuspin, Ph.D., who discussed Cyber Law & Cyber Security in Indonesia, offering insights into the development of cyber law in the digital world.
Prof. Aidul Fitriciada Azhari, who delivered an in-depth discussion on Comparative Legal Systems, enriching understanding of legal systems across different countries.
Marisa Kurnianingsih, M.H., M.Kn., who explored the Role of Digital Technology in Legal Processes, highlighting how digital technology is increasingly integrated into modern legal systems.
