Sukoharjo, June 5, 2024 – Al Azhar 7 Islamic High School Sukoharjo conducted a collaboration visit to Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) with the aim of strengthening the partnership and enhancing educational opportunities for students. The event was attended by various representatives from both institutions.
The event began with introductions from each institution that is by Denny Vitasari, S.T., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D from UMS and Moh. Pandoyo, S. Si., M. Pd. Gr., the Principal of Al Azhar 7 Islamic High School Sukoharjo, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration and highlighted the potential educational benefits for students.
International Office (IO) UMS explained the international programs, double degree opportunities, and student mobility options available to Al Azhar 7 Islamic High School Sukoharjo students if they continue their studies at UMS. Additionally, IO also provided information about the MSIB Program.
The UMS Faculty of Engineering also offered the latest programs, including a double degree in Korea, Korean Language Class Training, an AUSBILDUNG program to Germany, and community service programs.
Furthermore, UMS offered various programs such as overseas Community Service (KKN) to the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia, KKN in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as UMS has already collaborated with Sekolah Indonesia Jeddah and Makkah (Indonesian Schools in Jeddah and Makkah), and the “Kampus Mengajar” Program, which can also be implemented at Al Azhar 7 Islamic High School Sukoharjo.
Al Azhar 7 Islamic High School Sukoharjo hopes that this collaboration can support the school’s accreditation and the Merdeka Belajar Program. They also hope that UMS can provide socialization about international programs and student mobility for Al Azhar 7 Islamic High School Sukoharjo students and open opportunities for UMS students to do PPL (Practical field experience) at their school. Additionally, they seek to expand the opportunity for international students enrolled or exchange in UMS to teach students at Al Azhar 7 Islamic High School in Sukoharjo. Al Azhar 7 Islamic High School Sukoharjo also provided information about the Pancasila Student Profile Project (4P) which can be collaborated with UMS. Additionally, they hope for the involvement of UMS lecturers as speakers at various seminars organized by Al Azhar 7 Islamic High School Sukoharjo on relevant topics.
The event concluded with a summary of the goals, expectations, and implementation of the collaboration between the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and Al Azhar 7 Islamic High School Sukoharjo, accompanied by high optimism for the future of this partnership.
